DZS Router Login
Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your DZS router's setup page to get it done.
The default gateway address for DZS is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.
Login Steps
Accessing your DZS router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.
-
Connect to your DZS router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.
-
Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.
-
If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type
ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and typenetstat -nr. -
Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.
-
You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.
Troubleshooting DZS Router Login
If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.
-
Can't reach the login page
Make sure you're connected to the DZS router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.
-
Default credentials not accepted
Check the sticker on the bottom of your DZS router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.
-
Router stops working after changes
Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your DZS router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.
-
Forgot the admin password
A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.
-
Settings won't save
Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some DZS routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.
About DZS Routers
DZS started as a telecommunications equipment company focused on fiber and broadband solutions. The company builds routers and gateways primarily for internet service providers around the world. Many users get DZS routers directly from their ISP rather than buying them in stores.
DZS routers often come pre-configured by your internet provider. The company designs their devices to work with fiber networks and DSL connections. You'll find DZS equipment in many countries where ISPs want reliable, business-grade hardware for home users.
Internet providers choose DZS because their routers handle high-speed connections well. The devices come with strong wireless signals and can manage multiple users without slowing down. DZS routers also include built-in security features that protect your network.
Many users like DZS routers because they don't require much maintenance once set up. The admin interface is straightforward, and the devices rarely need reboots. If you got your DZS router from your ISP, it probably came already configured for your internet plan.
Accessing the DZS Admin Panel
You can access your DZS router admin panel through any web browser on your network. Connect your computer or phone to the DZS WiFi network first. Open your browser and type the router's IP address in the address bar.
Most DZS routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default IP address. Check the label on the back or bottom of your DZS router for the exact address. You'll see a sticker with login details and network information.
If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, try checking your computer's network settings. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type 'ipconfig'. Look for 'Default Gateway' under your network connection. That's your DZS router's IP address.
DZS routers sometimes show a blank page when you first visit the IP address. Wait 30 seconds and refresh the page. The DZS interface can take time to load completely.
Some DZS models redirect you to a different address after the first login. Don't worry if the URL changes from 192.168.1.1 to something longer. This happens with newer DZS firmware versions.
If your browser shows a security warning, click 'Advanced' and proceed anyway. DZS routers use self-signed certificates that browsers don't recognize. The connection is still safe for local network access.
Popular DZS Models
The DZS ZXHN H298A is common with fiber internet providers. It uses admin/admin as the default login and has a blue and white interface. The H298A supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi bands.
DZS ZXHN H267A routers appear in many DSL installations. These use the same admin/admin credentials but have an older green interface design. The H267A models include four Ethernet ports and built-in firewall settings.
Newer DZS ZXHN H298Q routers come with gigabit speeds and advanced QoS controls. They still use 192.168.1.1 and admin/admin by default. The H298Q interface includes a network map showing all connected devices.
Older DZS models like the H267A series have simpler interfaces with basic settings only. You'll find WiFi, password, and port forwarding options but not much else.
Newer DZS routers include advanced features like guest networks, parental controls, and VPN support. The interface looks more modern with icons and dropdown menus. Both old and new DZS models use the same login process and default credentials.
Troubleshooting DZS Login Issues
Make sure you're connected to the DZS router's network before trying to log in. Check your WiFi connection or use an Ethernet cable directly to the router. Your computer needs to be on the same network as the DZS device.
If 192.168.1.1 still doesn't work, your ISP might have changed the default IP address. Some providers configure DZS routers to use different addresses like 192.168.0.1 or 10.0.0.1. Check with your internet provider for the correct address.
DZS routers ship with admin/admin as the default username and password. If this doesn't work, check the label on your router for custom credentials. Some ISPs change the default password before giving you the device.
Try leaving the username field blank and just entering 'admin' as the password. Some DZS firmware versions only require the password field. If you've changed the password before and forgot it, you'll need to reset the router completely.
After resetting your DZS router, wait two minutes for it to start up completely. The power light should be solid green or blue. Connect to the default WiFi network name printed on the router label.
Go to 192.168.1.1 and log in with admin/admin. The DZS setup wizard might start automatically. You can skip the wizard and configure settings manually if you prefer. Remember to change the default password after you finish setting up your network.
How to Factory Reset a DZS Router
Reset your DZS router when you can't log in with any password combination or when the device isn't working properly. Factory reset also helps if your ISP changed your internet settings and you need to start over.
Find the small reset button on the back of your DZS router. You'll need a paperclip or pin to press it. Keep the router plugged in and powered on during the reset process.
Press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds while the router is running. Don't release the button early or the reset won't complete. You'll see the lights flash or turn off during the reset.
Release the reset button and wait three minutes for the DZS router to restart completely. All lights should return to normal operation. The router will use factory settings including the default admin/admin login and original WiFi name.
Connect to the default DZS WiFi network shown on the router label. Open your browser and go to 192.168.1.1 to start configuring your settings. You'll need to set up your internet connection, WiFi password, and any other custom settings again.
