Tele2 Router Login
Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your Tele2 router's setup page to get it done.
The default gateway address for Tele2 is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.
Login Steps
Accessing your Tele2 router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.
-
Connect to your Tele2 router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.
-
Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.
-
If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type
ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and typenetstat -nr. -
Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.
-
You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.
Troubleshooting Tele2 Router Login
If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.
-
Can't reach the login page
Make sure you're connected to the Tele2 router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.
-
Default credentials not accepted
Check the sticker on the bottom of your Tele2 router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.
-
Router stops working after changes
Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your Tele2 router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.
-
Forgot the admin password
A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.
-
Settings won't save
Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some Tele2 routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.
About Tele2 Routers
Tele2 started as a Swedish telecommunications company in 1993 and quickly expanded across Europe and beyond. The company built its reputation by offering affordable internet and mobile services in markets like Sweden, Russia, Kazakhstan, and the Baltic states. Tele2 routers come bundled with their internet service packages, giving customers a complete connectivity solution.
Tele2 focuses on providing reliable home internet equipment that works straight out of the box. Their routers typically feature simplified setup processes and user-friendly interfaces designed for everyday users. The company partners with established hardware manufacturers to create devices that balance performance with affordability.
Home users choose Tele2 routers because they come pre-configured with their internet service. You don't need to worry about complex setup procedures or compatibility issues. Tele2 technical support can help with both your internet connection and router problems in one call.
Tele2 routers offer good value for money with features like dual-band Wi-Fi, guest networks, and parental controls. The admin interface uses clear language instead of technical jargon, making it easier for families to manage their home network settings.
Accessing the Tele2 Admin Panel
You can access your Tele2 router admin panel through any web browser on your computer or phone. Make sure you're connected to your Tele2 network either through Wi-Fi or an ethernet cable. Open your browser and type the router's IP address to reach the login page.
Most Tele2 routers use 192.168.1.1 as their default IP address. You can find this printed on a sticker attached to your router, usually on the bottom or back panel. Look for text that says "Gateway" or "Router IP" followed by the numbers.
If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, check your computer's network settings. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type "ipconfig". Look for "Default Gateway" under your network connection. That's your Tele2 router's IP address.
Some Tele2 routers take 30-45 seconds to fully load the login page. Don't refresh the browser if the page seems slow. Wait for the Tele2 logo and login form to appear completely before entering your credentials.
Tele2 routers sometimes cache old login attempts. If you get an "incorrect password" error immediately after typing, clear your browser cookies for that IP address. Try using a private browsing window to avoid cookie conflicts.
Certain Tele2 models block admin access when too many devices connect to Wi-Fi. If the login page won't load, disconnect some phones or tablets from your network and try again.
Popular Tele2 Models
The Tele2 Gateway series includes models like the TG-1 and TG-2, both using admin/admin as default login credentials. These white rectangular routers feature blue LED indicators and support up to 32 connected devices. Check the model sticker on your router's bottom to confirm your exact version.
Tele2 also distributes ZyXEL-manufactured routers in some regions. These models typically use 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin login. The ZyXEL versions have a different web interface design but offer the same basic features as Tele2-branded devices.
Newer Tele2 routers from 2022 onward may have randomly generated passwords printed on the device label. Look for an 8-character password next to the Wi-Fi network name if admin/admin doesn't work on your model.
Older Tele2 routers use a blue and white interface with larger buttons and simplified menus. Newer models feature a more modern dark theme with advanced settings grouped under expandable sections. The login process remains the same across all versions.
Some Tele2 business-grade routers require you to accept a security warning before reaching the admin panel. Click "Advanced" and then "Proceed" if you see certificate error messages in your browser.
Troubleshooting Tele2 Login Issues
If you can't reach the Tele2 admin page, check that your device gets an IP address starting with 192.168.1. Go to your network settings and look at your current IP address. If it starts with 169.254, your router isn't giving out addresses properly.
Restart your Tele2 router by unplugging it for 30 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait 2-3 minutes for all the lights to become steady blue or green. Try accessing 192.168.1.1 again once the router finishes booting up.
Tele2 routers ship with admin/admin as the default username and password. Type both fields in lowercase letters exactly as shown. Some browsers automatically capitalize the first letter, which will cause login failures on Tele2 devices.
If someone changed the password previously, look for a password reset option on the login page. Some Tele2 models show a "Forgot Password" link that lets you answer security questions to regain access.
After factory resetting your Tele2 router, wait 5 minutes before trying to log in. The device needs time to rebuild its internal settings and start the web interface. Use admin/admin to log in and check that the firmware version appears correctly on the main dashboard.
Your Tele2 internet connection should work automatically after reset, but Wi-Fi networks will disappear. You'll need to set up new network names and passwords through the wireless settings page.
How to Factory Reset a Tele2 Router
Factory reset your Tele2 router if you can't log in with any password combination, or if the device stops responding to configuration changes. Reset also helps when your internet works but Wi-Fi connections keep dropping randomly.
Find the small reset button on the back of your Tele2 router, usually in a recessed hole near the power connector. With the router powered on, press and hold this button using a paperclip or similar tool for 10-15 seconds. Don't release the button until you see all the LED lights turn off and then back on.
Some Tele2 models require a longer reset procedure. Keep holding the reset button for 30 seconds if the lights don't change after 15 seconds. The router will restart automatically once the reset completes successfully.
Wait at least 3 minutes after the reset before trying to access the admin panel. Tele2 routers need extra time to restore their default settings and activate the web interface.
Log in with admin/admin and immediately check the system status page to confirm your Tele2 internet connection works. Set up new Wi-Fi network names and passwords before connecting your devices. Write down any custom settings you configure so you can restore them if needed later.
