HooToo Router Login

Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your HooToo router's setup page to get it done.

The default gateway address for HooToo is 10.10.10.254. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.

Login Steps

Accessing your router admin through http://10.10.10.254 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.

  1. Connect to your HooToo router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.

  2. Open any web browser. Type 10.10.10.254 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.

  3. If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and type netstat -nr.

  4. Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.

  5. You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.

Troubleshooting HooToo Router Login

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.

  • Can't reach the login page

    Make sure you're connected to the HooToo router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://10.10.10.254 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.

  • Default credentials not accepted

    Check the sticker on the bottom of your HooToo router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.

  • Router stops working after changes

    Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your HooToo router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.

  • Forgot the admin password

    A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.

  • Settings won't save

    Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some HooToo routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.

Accessing the HooToo Admin Panel

You can access your HooToo router admin panel by connecting to its WiFi network and opening a web browser. HooToo uses the IP address 10.10.10.254 for most models, which is different from other router brands that typically use 192.168.x.x addresses.

Connect your device to the HooToo WiFi network first, then type 10.10.10.254 into your browser address bar. You don't need to find the IP address because HooToo uses the same default IP on all their portable router models. If 10.10.10.254 doesn't work, check the label on your HooToo device for the correct address.

Some newer HooToo models also respond to the address hootoo.setup in your browser. Try both addresses if you're having trouble connecting to the admin interface.

HooToo routers sometimes don't respond to login attempts if you're connected to your home WiFi instead of the HooToo network. Make sure your device shows the HooToo network name in your WiFi settings before trying to log in. Disconnect from other networks first.

The HooToo admin page might load slowly on older devices or with weak connections. Wait at least 30 seconds for the login page to appear completely. Don't refresh the page if it's loading slowly, as this can cause connection errors.

Some HooToo models enter sleep mode after periods of inactivity. Unplug the device for 10 seconds, then plug it back in and wait 2 minutes before trying to access the admin panel again.

Popular HooToo Models

The HooToo TripMate Titan (HT-TM05) is one of their most popular portable routers, using admin/11111111 as default credentials. The TripMate Nano (HT-TM02) also uses the same login but has a simplified interface with fewer options. The TripMate Elite (HT-TM06) includes a built-in battery and uses admin/11111111 for initial setup.

HooToo's FileHub models like the HT-TM04 combine router and file sharing functions. These devices use the same admin/11111111 login but include additional storage management features in their admin panel. The newer HT-TM85 wireless travel router maintains the same default credentials but adds USB-C charging.

Most HooToo travel routers use identical default credentials regardless of model number. The interface layout changes slightly between models, but the basic network settings remain in the same locations across the HooToo product line.

Older HooToo models from 2015-2017 have simpler admin interfaces with basic WiFi setup options. Newer models include guest network settings and parental controls in their admin panels. The login process stays the same, but you'll see different menu options depending on your model year.

Troubleshooting HooToo Login Issues

If you can't reach the HooToo admin page at 10.10.10.254, check that your device is connected to the HooToo WiFi network, not your home internet. The HooToo network name usually starts with 'HooToo' followed by numbers or letters. Disconnect from all other WiFi networks before trying again.

Try using a different web browser if the admin page won't load. Some users report that Chrome works better with HooToo admin interfaces than Safari or Firefox. Clear your browser cache and try accessing 10.10.10.254 again.

HooToo routers use '11111111' (eight ones) as the default admin password, not 'admin' or 'password' like other brands. The username is 'admin' and the password is eight consecutive number ones. Don't confuse this with the WiFi network password, which is usually different.

If the default admin/11111111 credentials don't work, someone may have changed the admin password previously. HooToo doesn't have a password recovery option, so you'll need to factory reset the device to restore the default login credentials.

How to Factory Reset a HooToo Router

Factory reset your HooToo router when you can't log in with the default admin/11111111 credentials or when the device isn't working properly. Reset also helps if you've forgotten custom settings or if the router won't connect to your internet source.

Locate the small reset button on your HooToo router while the device is powered on. The reset button is usually on the side or bottom of the device and requires a paperclip or pin to press. Press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds until the LED lights change color or start blinking.

Keep holding the reset button even if the lights turn off completely. Release the button after 15 seconds and wait 2-3 minutes for the HooToo router to restart completely. The device will return to factory settings and create a default WiFi network.

Some HooToo models require you to hold the reset button while powering on the device. Check your model's manual if the standard reset procedure doesn't work on your specific HooToo router.

After resetting, your HooToo router creates a default WiFi network with the name and password printed on the device label. Connect to this network, then access 10.10.10.254 using admin/11111111 to configure your internet connection and WiFi settings again.
