EOLO Router Login
Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your EOLO router's setup page to get it done.
The default gateway address for EOLO is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.
Login Steps
Accessing your EOLO router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.
-
Connect to your EOLO router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.
-
Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.
-
If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type
ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and typenetstat -nr. -
Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.
-
You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.
Troubleshooting EOLO Router Login
If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.
-
Can't reach the login page
Make sure you're connected to the EOLO router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.
-
Default credentials not accepted
Check the sticker on the bottom of your EOLO router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.
-
Router stops working after changes
Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your EOLO router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.
-
Forgot the admin password
A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.
-
Settings won't save
Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some EOLO routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.
About EOLO Routers
EOLO started as an Italian wireless internet service provider in 2003, focusing on bringing high-speed connectivity to rural and underserved areas. The company expanded beyond just internet services and began offering their own branded networking equipment to customers. EOLO routers became popular in Italy and other European markets because they came pre-configured for the company's wireless internet service.
EOLO positioned itself as a complete connectivity solution provider, not just an ISP. Their routers are designed specifically to work with EOLO's network infrastructure and come with custom firmware that simplifies setup for their internet subscribers. The brand focuses on plug-and-play functionality rather than advanced networking features.
Home users choose EOLO routers because they come bundled with EOLO internet service subscriptions. The routers arrive pre-configured with the correct settings for EOLO's network, so customers don't need technical knowledge to get online. EOLO's customer support team knows these devices inside and out, making troubleshooting easier.
EOLO routers also cost less than buying a separate router from other brands. The company subsidizes the hardware cost through their internet service plans, making it an affordable option for families in Italy and surrounding regions.
Accessing the EOLO Admin Panel
You can access your EOLO router admin panel through any web browser by typing the router's IP address. EOLO routers use a simplified interface compared to other brands, with most settings organized into basic categories that match common home networking needs.
EOLO routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default IP address for admin access. You can verify this by checking the label on your EOLO router, which shows the login details printed on a white sticker. The IP address is usually listed as 'Gateway' or 'Router IP' on the label.
If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, your EOLO router might have been configured differently during installation. Open Command Prompt on Windows and type 'ipconfig' to see your default gateway address. On phones, go to WiFi settings and tap the information icon next to your EOLO network name to see the router IP.
EOLO routers sometimes show a blank page when you first access 192.168.1.1. Wait 30 seconds and refresh the page, as the EOLO firmware can be slow to load the login screen. Don't click the browser's back button or try to reload multiple times quickly.
Some EOLO models redirect you to a different IP address after the initial login. If this happens, bookmark the new address since that's your router's actual admin panel URL. EOLO's custom firmware sometimes uses this redirect method to prevent conflicts with other devices on your network.
EOLO routers may also show Italian language by default, even if you're in another country. Look for a language dropdown menu at the top right of the login page, or find the 'Lingua' or 'Language' option after logging in.
Popular EOLO Models
The EOLO EVA model is common in residential installations and uses admin/admin for both username and password. EVA routers have a simple web interface with basic WiFi and network settings. The EOLO Thunder series offers faster speeds and uses the same admin/admin credentials, but includes more advanced QoS settings for managing bandwidth.
EOLO's older EVO models also use admin/admin by default, though some units shipped with blank passwords initially. If admin/admin doesn't work on an EVO router, try using 'admin' as username with no password. The EOLO Smart router series typically comes with admin/admin credentials and features a more modern interface with mobile app support.
Newer EOLO models force you to change the default password during first-time setup, while older units keep admin/admin permanently. The login page layout varies between EOLO model lines, but all use the same 192.168.1.1 address.
EOLO business-class routers may require different credentials that your ISP technician sets during installation. These models often use a unique password printed on the router label instead of the standard admin/admin combination.
Troubleshooting EOLO Login Issues
If you can't reach the EOLO admin panel at 192.168.1.1, check that your device is connected to the EOLO router's WiFi network or plugged into an ethernet port. The router's power LED should be solid green or blue, not blinking red. Wait two minutes after plugging in the router before trying to access the admin panel.
EOLO routers sometimes conflict with other networking equipment. Unplug any other routers or modems in your home, then restart your EOLO router by unplugging it for 30 seconds. Try accessing 192.168.1.1 again after the EOLO router finishes booting up.
EOLO routers ship with admin/admin as the default username and password combination. Type 'admin' in both the username and password fields, making sure not to add any spaces or capital letters. Some EOLO models show separate fields for username and password, while others only ask for a password.
If admin/admin doesn't work, someone may have changed the EOLO router's password previously. Check the router label for any handwritten passwords or custom login details. EOLO technicians sometimes write new passwords on the router label during installation or service calls.
After factory resetting your EOLO router, wait five minutes for the device to fully boot up before trying to log in. The default credentials return to admin/admin, and you'll need to reconfigure your internet connection settings. EOLO routers usually auto-detect the correct settings for EOLO internet service.
Your WiFi network name and password will also reset to the defaults printed on the router label. Look for 'SSID' and 'WiFi Password' or similar labels on the sticker attached to your EOLO router.
How to Factory Reset a EOLO Router
Reset your EOLO router if you can't remember the admin password or if the device isn't working properly after configuration changes. Factory reset also helps when transferring the router to a new location or if EOLO customer support recommends it during troubleshooting.
Find the small reset button on your EOLO router, usually located on the back panel near the power connector. The button is recessed and requires a paperclip or similar thin object to press. Make sure the EOLO router is powered on and showing normal status lights before starting the reset.
Press and hold the reset button for 15 seconds while the router is powered on. Don't release the button early, as EOLO routers need the full 15 seconds to complete the reset process. The status lights will flash or turn off during reset, then come back on as the router restarts.
Release the reset button after 15 seconds and wait five minutes for the EOLO router to finish rebooting. The device will return to factory settings with admin/admin login credentials and default WiFi settings from the router label.
Connect to your EOLO router using the default WiFi name and password from the device label, then access 192.168.1.1 to reconfigure your settings. Set up a new admin password and customize your WiFi network name and password for security. EOLO routers usually detect the correct internet settings automatically if you're using EOLO internet service.
