How to Fix PLDT Router No Internet Light

Published April 9, 2026

Your PLDT router shows no internet light, and you can't get online. This problem affects thousands of Filipino households daily. The good news? Most PLDT Fibr no internet light issues can be fixed in just a few minutes.

What the Internet Light Tells You

The internet light on your PLDT router shows your connection status. When it's solid green or blue, you're online. When it's off, red, or blinking, something's wrong.

Different PLDT router models use different colors:

  • Green solid: Connected to internet
  • Blue solid: Connected to internet (newer models)
  • Red solid: No internet connection
  • Blinking red: Trying to connect
  • Off: No power or hardware problem

Quick Fixes to Try First

Before calling PLDT support, try these simple solutions. They fix most internet connection problems.

Check All Cable Connections

Loose cables cause many PLDT home Fibr problems. Check these connections:

  1. Power cable plugged into router
  2. Ethernet cable from wall outlet to router's WAN port
  3. All cables pushed in firmly

If you see any damaged cables, that's likely your problem. Cable damage often happens during cleaning or moving furniture.

Restart Your PLDT Router

A simple restart fixes many connection issues:

  1. Unplug the power cable from your router
  2. Wait 30 seconds
  3. Plug the power cable back in
  4. Wait 2-3 minutes for the router to boot up
  5. Check if the internet light turns green or blue

This restart clears temporary software glitches that block your connection.

Advanced Troubleshooting Steps

If basic fixes don't work, try these more detailed solutions.

Check for Service Outages

PLDT sometimes has network problems in your area. Visit the PLDT Facebook page or Twitter account for outage reports. You can also ask neighbors if their internet is working.

If there's an outage, you'll need to wait for PLDT to fix it. Most outages last 1-4 hours.

Reset Network Settings

Wrong network settings can block your internet connection. Access your router's admin panel to check:

  1. Connect to your router's WiFi network
  2. Open a web browser
  3. Go to the 192.168.1.1 login page
  4. Use the Pldt router login credentials (usually admin/admin)
  5. Go to Network > Internet Connection
  6. Check if connection type is set to "Automatic" or "DHCP"

If settings look wrong, try changing the connection type to "Automatic" and save the changes.

Check DNS Settings

Wrong DNS settings can block internet access even when connected:

  1. In your router admin panel, go to Network > DNS
  2. Set Primary DNS to 8.8.8.8
  3. Set Secondary DNS to 8.8.4.4
  4. Save the settings
  5. Restart your router

These Google DNS servers work reliably in the Philippines.

Physical Connection Problems

Sometimes the problem isn't with your router but with the physical connection.

Check the Fiber Cable

PLDT Fibr uses a thin fiber optic cable. This cable is fragile and can break easily:

  • Look for bends or kinks in the cable
  • Check if the cable is pinched by doors or windows
  • Make sure pets haven't chewed the cable
  • Verify the cable isn't pulled too tight

If you see damage, don't try to fix it yourself. Call PLDT technical support for a replacement.

Inspect the ONT Device

The ONT (white box) converts the fiber signal for your router. Check these things:

  1. Power light should be solid green
  2. PON or Optical light should be solid green
  3. LAN light should be solid green when cable is connected

If any lights are red or off, there's a problem with your fiber connection. This requires PLDT technician help.

Router Factory Reset

If nothing else works, try a factory reset. This erases all settings and returns the router to default.

Warning: You'll lose all WiFi passwords and custom settings. Write down important settings first.

  1. Find the reset button on your router (usually a small hole)
  2. Press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds while powered on
  3. Release the button and wait 2-3 minutes
  4. The router will restart with factory settings

After reset, you'll need to set up WiFi and other settings again. Check our default router password list if you forgot the default login.
