ADB Router Login

ADB (formerly Pirelli Broadband Solutions) is an Italian company producing DSL modems and home gateways for European and South American ISPs.

Login Details

ADB routers typically use 192.168.1.1. Default username is admin and password is admin.

About ADB Routers

ADB started as Advanced Digital Broadcast in Switzerland and became a major player in set-top boxes and broadband equipment. The company built routers and modems for telecom operators across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Many internet service providers choose ADB equipment because it offers reliable performance at competitive prices.

ADB focuses on creating devices for ISPs rather than retail consumers. You'll often find ADB routers branded with your internet provider's logo instead of the ADB name. The company designs equipment that works well in different climates and power conditions, making it popular in developing markets.

Home users end up with ADB routers because their internet service provider supplies them. These routers handle basic internet sharing well and don't break down often. ADB builds devices that work reliably even with unstable power supplies, which helps in areas with frequent outages.

The web interface stays simple and doesn't overwhelm non-technical users. You won't find complicated advanced features that you'll never use. ADB routers just focus on getting your internet connection shared to multiple devices without fuss.

Accessing the ADB Admin Panel

ADB routers use a web-based admin panel that you access through your browser. Connect your computer to the ADB router with an ethernet cable or WiFi. Open any web browser and type the router's IP address in the address bar to reach the login page.

Most ADB routers use 192.168.1.1 as their default IP address. Check the sticker on your ADB router's back or bottom for the exact address. You'll see "Gateway" or "Router IP" printed next to the numbers.

If the sticker is missing or unreadable, open Command Prompt on Windows and type "ipconfig". Look for the "Default Gateway" line to find your ADB router's address. On phones, check your WiFi connection details to see the gateway address.

ADB routers sometimes take longer to load the login page compared to other brands. Wait 30 seconds after typing the IP address before assuming something is wrong. The page might appear blank at first, then suddenly show the login form.

Some ADB models redirect you to a different IP address after you connect. Don't panic if the address bar changes from 192.168.1.1 to something like 192.168.1.254. Your ISP might have customized the router's settings.

If you see a certificate warning in your browser, click "Advanced" and "Proceed anyway". ADB routers use self-signed certificates that browsers don't trust, but it's safe to continue to your own router's interface.

Popular ADB Models

The ADB DV2210 is common in European markets and uses admin/admin for login credentials. You'll find this model with many ISP brandings. The interface shows a simple blue and white layout with basic configuration options.

ADB VV2220 models appear frequently in Latin American deployments. These units also use admin/admin by default but sometimes have the password printed on the device label. The web interface looks similar across ADB models.

Newer ADB P.RG models might have different default passwords. Check the router label carefully because some units use "password" or the device serial number instead of "admin". Your ISP might have changed the defaults before giving you the router.

Older ADB models show a more basic interface with fewer menu options. Newer models include more wireless settings and parental controls. The login process stays the same across all ADB model lines.

Some ADB routers customized by ISPs hide certain configuration options from users. You might not see advanced networking settings that would normally appear in the admin panel. Your internet provider controls which features you can access.

Troubleshooting ADB Login Issues

Make sure your computer gets an IP address from the ADB router. Disconnect and reconnect your ethernet cable or WiFi connection. Check that your network adapter shows a 192.168.1.x address when you run "ipconfig".

Disable any VPN software while trying to access your ADB router. VPNs can route your traffic away from local devices. Also turn off any firewall software temporarily to test if it's blocking access to the admin panel.

ADB routers ship with admin/admin as the default username and password. If this doesn't work, your ISP might have changed the credentials before installing the router. Check the device label for any printed passwords.

Some ADB models accept a blank password field with "admin" as the username. Try leaving the password empty and clicking login. If you still can't get in, your ISP technical support can tell you the correct login details for your specific ADB router.

After factory resetting your ADB router, wait 2-3 minutes before trying to connect. The device needs time to completely restart and initialize its default settings. Connect with an ethernet cable first since WiFi settings get erased during reset.

Use 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin to log in after the reset completes. You'll need to reconfigure your internet connection settings, WiFi name, and password. Contact your ISP for the specific connection details your ADB router needs.

How to Factory Reset a ADB Router

Reset your ADB router when you can't remember the admin password or when the internet connection stops working completely. Don't reset unless you've tried rebooting the router first by unplugging it for 30 seconds.

Find the small reset button on your ADB router, usually located on the back panel near the power port. Use a paperclip or pen tip to press the button. Hold the reset button down for 10-15 seconds while the router stays powered on.

Watch the LED lights during the reset process. They'll flash or change colors to show the router is resetting. Keep holding the button until all lights turn off, then release it. Don't unplug the router during this process.

The ADB router will restart automatically after you release the reset button. Wait 2-3 minutes for the startup process to finish. All lights should return to their normal pattern when the router is ready for configuration.

Connect to your ADB router using an ethernet cable and navigate to 192.168.1.1 in your browser. Use admin/admin to log in and reconfigure your internet connection settings. You'll need to set up WiFi again since the reset erased all wireless configurations.
