The TP-Link Deco X60 is a tri-band mesh WiFi 6 router that launched in 2020. It's designed to blanket your entire home with fast, reliable internet coverage by using multiple units working together as a mesh system.
To access your Deco X60's settings, you'll need to connect to its web interface. The default login IP address is 192.168.68.1. When you visit this address in your browser, you'll be prompted for login credentials. The default username is admin, and there's no default password. Just leave the password field blank on your first login.
The X60 works great for medium to large homes, especially if you have dead zones with your current router. It handles gaming pretty well thanks to WiFi 6 technology, which reduces lag and supports more connected devices. It's also perfect for families with lots of smart home gadgets, streaming devices, and people working from home.
Each Deco X60 unit can cover about 2,500 square feet, so a two-pack typically handles most homes. The tri-band setup means one band dedicates itself to communication between units, keeping your internet speeds fast throughout the house.
