Prolink Router Login

Prolink is a networking brand popular in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, offering affordable DSL modems, routers, and wireless equipment for home and small office use.

Login Details

Prolink routers use 192.168.1.1. Default username is admin and password is admin.

About Prolink Routers

Prolink started as a Malaysian networking company in the 1990s and became popular across Southeast Asia for affordable home networking equipment. The brand gained recognition by offering feature-rich routers at lower prices than Western competitors. Prolink focused on emerging markets where cost-effective internet solutions were needed most.

Prolink routers became widely distributed across Asia, the Middle East, and parts of Latin America through local retailers and ISP partnerships. The company built its reputation on making networking accessible to home users who couldn't afford premium brands. You'll find Prolink devices commonly used by families and small businesses looking for reliable basic connectivity.

Home users choose Prolink because the routers offer good performance at budget-friendly prices. The brand doesn't charge premium prices for basic features that most families actually need. Prolink routers work well for streaming videos, online gaming, and connecting multiple devices without breaking the bank.

Prolink also designs their admin interfaces to be simpler than many competitors. You won't find overcomplicated menus or technical jargon that confuses non-technical users. The setup process is straightforward, and the routers typically work reliably once configured properly.

Accessing the Prolink Admin Panel

You can access your Prolink router admin panel through any web browser on a device connected to your network. Open Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge and type your router's IP address in the address bar. Most Prolink routers use 192.168.1.1 as their default gateway address.

Check the sticker on your Prolink router's bottom or back panel for the default IP address. Most models use 192.168.1.1, but some newer Prolink routers might use 192.168.0.1 instead. You can also find this information in the quick setup guide that came with your router.

If you can't find the sticker or manual, open Command Prompt on Windows and type 'ipconfig'. Look for the 'Default Gateway' under your active connection. On Mac, go to System Preferences, then Network, and check your router address there.

Prolink routers sometimes take 30-45 seconds to fully boot up after being plugged in. If you can't reach the login page immediately, wait a few minutes and try again. The router's LED lights should stop blinking and show solid colors when ready.

Some Prolink models have a quirk where they don't respond to login attempts if too many devices are trying to connect simultaneously. Disconnect other devices temporarily and try accessing the admin panel from just one computer or phone.

Older Prolink firmware versions occasionally conflict with newer browser security features. If the login page won't load, try using Internet Explorer or an older browser version. You can also try clearing your browser cache and cookies before attempting to log in again.

Popular Prolink Models

The Prolink PRC3801 uses the standard admin/admin login credentials and 192.168.1.1 IP address. This model is popular in many Asian markets and has a blue and white admin interface. The Prolink H5004NK also uses admin/admin but sometimes ships with the password printed on a sticker instead.

Prolink's PRC3802 and PRC3803 models follow the same admin/admin pattern, but these newer versions have updated interfaces with more menu options. The Prolink PWN3701 series uses admin/admin as well, though some ISP-customized versions might have different default passwords.

The Prolink PIC301G is an older model that's still common in some regions. It uses admin/admin for login credentials and has a simpler interface compared to newer Prolink routers. Check your model number on the router label to confirm which version you have.

Newer Prolink models from 2018 onwards have more colorful admin interfaces with better mobile browser support. Older Prolink routers from 2015 and earlier use simpler gray and blue interfaces that work better on desktop computers.

Some Prolink models sold through specific ISPs have customized firmware with different default passwords. These ISP versions might use the ISP name as the password instead of the standard admin/admin combination.

Troubleshooting Prolink Login Issues

Make sure your device is connected to the Prolink router's network, not your mobile data or a different WiFi network. The router admin page only works when you're connected to that specific Prolink router. Check that your WiFi shows the correct network name.

Try a different web browser if the page won't load. Some Prolink router interfaces work better with Chrome or Firefox than with Safari or Edge. Also disable any VPN software or proxy settings that might interfere with local network access.

Most Prolink routers use 'admin' for both username and password by default. Type 'admin' in both fields, making sure to use lowercase letters. Some users accidentally use 'Admin' with a capital A, which won't work on most Prolink models.

If admin/admin doesn't work, check the router label for a custom password. Some Prolink routers have unique passwords printed on stickers. ISP-provided Prolink routers might use the ISP name, 'password', or '1234' as the default password instead.

Wait at least 2 minutes after factory resetting your Prolink router before trying to log in. The router needs time to restore default settings and restart all services. The status lights should stop blinking and show steady colors when ready.

After reset, your Prolink router returns to 192.168.1.1 and admin/admin credentials. Any custom passwords or settings you changed will be erased. You'll need to reconfigure your WiFi network name and password from scratch.

How to Factory Reset a Prolink Router

Reset your Prolink router when you can't remember the admin password, the router stops responding to configuration changes, or you're experiencing persistent connectivity problems that basic troubleshooting can't fix.

Look for a small Reset button on the back or bottom of your Prolink router. The button is usually recessed to prevent accidental presses. With the router powered on, use a paperclip or toothpick to press and hold the Reset button.

Hold the Reset button for 10-15 seconds while watching the router's LED lights. The lights will usually blink or change colors during the reset process. Keep holding until the lights turn off completely, then release the button.

Your Prolink router will restart automatically after the reset. Wait 2-3 minutes for the router to finish booting up. The WiFi network will return to the default name printed on the router label, and you'll need to reconnect all your devices.

Connect to your Prolink router's default WiFi network using the credentials on the router label. Open a web browser and go to 192.168.1.1 to access the admin panel with admin/admin login. Set up your preferred WiFi name, password, and any other settings you need.
