How to Find Your Router's IP Address
Your router's IP address (also called the Default Gateway) is the address you type into a browser to access your router's admin panel. If you do not know this address, you can find it in seconds on any device.
On Windows
- Press Win + R, type
cmd, and press Enter to open Command Prompt. - Type
ipconfigand press Enter. - Look for the 'Default Gateway' value — this is your router's IP address. It is usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1.
On Mac
- Click the Apple menu → System Preferences → Network.
- Select your active network connection (WiFi or Ethernet).
- Click Advanced → TCP/IP tab.
- The router's IP is listed next to 'Router'.
On iPhone / iPad (iOS)
- Open Settings → WiFi.
- Tap the (i) icon next to your connected network.
- The router address is shown next to 'Router'.
On Android
- Open Settings → WiFi (or Connections → WiFi).
- Tap and hold your connected network, then tap 'Manage network settings' or tap the (i) icon.
- Look for 'Gateway' — this is your router's IP address.
