BaudTec Router Login
Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your BaudTec router's setup page to get it done.
The default gateway address for BaudTec is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.
Login Steps
Accessing your BaudTec router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.
-
Connect to your BaudTec router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.
-
Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.
-
If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type
ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and typenetstat -nr. -
Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.
-
You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.
Troubleshooting BaudTec Router Login
If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.
-
Can't reach the login page
Make sure you're connected to the BaudTec router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.
-
Default credentials not accepted
Check the sticker on the bottom of your BaudTec router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.
-
Router stops working after changes
Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your BaudTec router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.
-
Forgot the admin password
A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.
-
Settings won't save
Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some BaudTec routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.
About BaudTec Routers
BaudTec started as a Latin American telecommunications equipment provider in the early 2000s. The company focused on affordable networking solutions for emerging markets across Mexico, Brazil, and Central America. BaudTec routers became popular in residential areas where internet service providers needed cost-effective hardware for their customers.
Today, BaudTec maintains a strong presence in Latin American markets and has expanded into Southeast Asia. The company partners directly with regional ISPs to provide pre-configured routers to subscribers. BaudTec's business model centers on bulk sales to service providers rather than retail consumers.
Home users often receive BaudTec routers from their internet service provider at no extra cost. These routers come pre-configured with the ISP's settings, so most people never need to access the admin panel initially. BaudTec routers offer reliable basic connectivity for households with moderate internet usage.
The simple interface design makes BaudTec routers appealing to non-technical users. You won't find complex enterprise features, but you'll get straightforward controls for WiFi passwords, port forwarding, and parental controls. BaudTec keeps costs low by focusing on core functionality rather than advanced features.
Accessing the BaudTec Admin Panel
BaudTec routers use a standard web interface that you can access through any browser on your computer or phone. You'll need to connect to your BaudTec router's network first, then navigate to the admin page using the router's IP address. The login process is the same whether you're using a desktop, laptop, or mobile device.
Most BaudTec routers use 192.168.1.1 as their default IP address. You can verify this by checking the white sticker on the bottom of your BaudTec router. Look for a section labeled 'Gateway' or 'Router IP' on this sticker.
If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, your ISP might have changed the default IP during initial setup. Open Command Prompt on Windows and type 'ipconfig'. Look for the 'Default Gateway' under your wireless connection. That IP address will take you to your BaudTec admin panel.
BaudTec routers sometimes show a blank page instead of the login screen when you first visit 192.168.1.1. Clear your browser cache and try again, or switch to a different browser entirely. Chrome and Firefox work better with BaudTec interfaces than Internet Explorer.
Some BaudTec models have a 30-second delay before showing the login page on first access. Don't refresh the page immediately if it seems stuck loading. Wait at least 45 seconds before trying again. Your ISP may have also disabled remote management on your BaudTec router, which would block admin access entirely.
Older BaudTec routers don't work well with HTTPS connections. If you see security warnings, try typing 'http://192.168.1.1' instead of 'https://192.168.1.1'. You can also try adding the IP address to your browser's trusted sites list to avoid connection problems.
Popular BaudTec Models
The BaudTec BT-300 series remains popular with many ISPs across Latin America. These routers use 'admin' for both username and password by default. The BT-300 series has a distinctive blue and white interface with large buttons for basic settings. You'll find the WiFi password settings under 'Wireless Security' in the main menu.
BaudTec BT-500 routers offer dual-band WiFi and slightly more advanced features. The default login is still 'admin/admin', but the interface looks different with a dark blue theme. The BT-500 series includes guest network options and basic QoS controls that you won't find on older BaudTec models.
Newer BaudTec BT-700 routers come with updated firmware and a responsive web interface that works on mobile devices. Some BT-700 units use 'admin' as the username but have a randomly generated password printed on the router label. Check the bottom sticker before trying the standard 'admin/admin' combination on BT-700 models.
Older BaudTec models like the BT-200 series require Internet Explorer or compatibility mode to access certain configuration pages. The JavaScript on these routers doesn't work properly with modern browsers. If you can log in but can't save changes, try Internet Explorer or enable compatibility mode in your current browser.
BaudTec's newer models have simplified the menu structure compared to older versions. The BT-700 series combines many settings that were previously spread across multiple pages. You'll find port forwarding, DMZ, and UPnP settings all under 'Advanced Networking' instead of separate menus like on BT-300 routers.
Troubleshooting BaudTec Login Issues
Make sure you're connected to your BaudTec router's WiFi network before trying to access the admin panel. You can't reach 192.168.1.1 if you're connected to a different network or using mobile data. Check your WiFi settings and confirm you're connected to your home network.
Some BaudTec routers go into power-saving mode after extended periods without activity. Unplug your BaudTec router for 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Wait about 2 minutes for the router to fully boot up, then try accessing 192.168.1.1 again. The power LED should be solid green or blue when the router is ready.
If 'admin/admin' doesn't work, check the white sticker on your BaudTec router for custom login credentials. Your ISP might have changed the default password during initial installation. Look for fields labeled 'Username', 'Password', or 'Access Code' on this sticker.
BaudTec routers lock you out for 5 minutes after three failed login attempts. You won't see an error message explaining this timeout. Just wait 5 minutes and try again with the correct credentials. Don't keep trying different passwords during the lockout period, as this will reset the timer.
After factory resetting your BaudTec router, the login returns to 'admin/admin' regardless of what your ISP previously configured. You'll also need to set up your internet connection again since the reset removes all ISP settings. Contact your internet provider for the connection details you'll need to enter.
BaudTec routers take longer than most brands to complete the factory reset process. Don't try to access 192.168.1.1 for at least 3 minutes after releasing the reset button. The router needs time to restore the default firmware and restart all services.
How to Factory Reset a BaudTec Router
Factory reset your BaudTec router when you can't remember the admin password and the default 'admin/admin' doesn't work. You should also reset if the router is behaving strangely, dropping connections frequently, or if you want to remove all custom settings and start fresh.
Locate the small reset button on the back of your BaudTec router. You'll need a paperclip or similar thin object to press this recessed button. Make sure your BaudTec router is powered on and all lights are stable before starting the reset process.
Press and hold the reset button for 10-15 seconds while the router is running. You'll see the lights flash or turn off during this process. Keep holding the button until the power light starts blinking rapidly, then release the button. Don't unplug the router during the reset process.
Your BaudTec router will restart automatically after the reset. This takes about 2-3 minutes for most BaudTec models. The power light will be solid when the reset is complete. All lights should return to their normal state, indicating the router is ready for configuration.
Open your browser and go to 192.168.1.1 to access your freshly reset BaudTec router. Use 'admin' for both username and password. The setup wizard will guide you through connecting to your internet service provider. You'll need to reconfigure your WiFi network name and password since the reset removes all custom settings.
