Can't reach the login page
Make sure you're connected to the Inwi router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.
-
Default credentials not accepted
Check the sticker on the bottom of your Inwi router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.
-
Router stops working after changes
Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your Inwi router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.
-
Forgot the admin password
A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.
-
Settings won't save
Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some Inwi routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.
About Inwi Routers
Inwi started as a Moroccan telecommunications company in 2009 and has grown to become one of North Africa's leading internet service providers. The company expanded into manufacturing routers and networking equipment to serve their growing customer base across Morocco and neighboring regions. Inwi routers are designed specifically for the North African market, with features that handle the region's unique internet infrastructure challenges.
Inwi has built a reputation for providing affordable networking solutions that work well in areas with inconsistent power supply and varying internet speeds. Their routers often come pre-configured for Inwi's network settings, making them popular among the company's internet subscribers who want plug-and-play functionality.
Home users choose Inwi routers because they're specifically optimized for Inwi's internet service and often come bundled with subscription packages. The routers are known for their Arabic and French language support, which makes configuration easier for users in Morocco and other French-speaking African countries.
Inwi routers are also popular because they're typically less expensive than international brands while still providing reliable wireless coverage for small homes and apartments. Many users appreciate that Inwi's customer service can provide direct support for both the internet connection and the router hardware.
Accessing the Inwi Admin Panel
You'll access your Inwi router admin panel through a web browser using the IP address 192.168.1.1. Make sure your computer or phone connects to your Inwi router's WiFi network first, then type the IP address into any web browser's address bar.
Most Inwi routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway address. You can confirm this by checking the sticker on the bottom or back of your Inwi router, which shows the default IP along with the WiFi password. If you can't find the sticker, open Command Prompt on Windows and type 'ipconfig' to see your default gateway.
Some newer Inwi models might use 192.168.0.1 instead, but this is less common. If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, try the alternate address or check your Inwi router's documentation.
Inwi routers sometimes have issues with browser compatibility, particularly with older versions of Internet Explorer. Use Chrome, Firefox, or Safari for the best results when accessing your Inwi admin panel. Clear your browser cache if the login page appears but won't accept your credentials.
Many Inwi users experience problems when their router's language is set to Arabic by default. Look for a language selector on the login page, usually represented by a flag icon or 'العربية/Français/English' text. Switch to your preferred language before attempting to log in.
If your Inwi router login page loads but shows SSL certificate warnings, click 'Advanced' and then 'Proceed to 192.168.1.1' to continue. This is normal behavior for local router admin pages and doesn't indicate a security problem.
Popular Inwi Models
The Inwi B310 and B315 are among the most common home router models, both using admin/admin as default credentials. These LTE routers often come with Inwi SIM cards pre-installed and use 192.168.1.1 for admin access. The B535 model is popular for homes needing faster speeds and also uses the same default login information.
Inwi's WiFi 6 routers like the AX1800 series maintain the admin/admin default but may require you to create a new password on first login. The older Inwi N300 models, still widely used in Morocco, also follow the same credential pattern but sometimes have slower web interface loading times.
Fiber models like the Inwi FG-1000 use admin/admin initially but Inwi technicians often change this during installation. Check with your installer or call Inwi support if the defaults don't work on recently installed fiber routers.
Older Inwi router models typically show a basic web interface in Arabic and French, while newer models include English options and more modern designs. The login process remains consistent across models, but the dashboard layout changes significantly between the older B-series and newer AX-series routers.
LTE models like the B310 and B315 show mobile network status and data usage prominently on the main page after login. Fiber and ADSL models focus more on WiFi settings and connected devices. The navigation menu structure varies, but all Inwi models keep the WiFi password settings in a 'Wireless' or 'WiFi' section.
Troubleshooting Inwi Login Issues
When you can't reach your Inwi router's admin page at 192.168.1.1, first check that you're connected to the router's WiFi network, not your mobile data. Look for the network name (SSID) printed on your Inwi router's label. If you're connected but still can't access the page, try restarting your browser or using a different device.
Inwi routers sometimes need a few minutes to fully boot up, especially LTE models that must connect to the mobile network first. Wait for all status lights to turn solid green or blue before attempting to access the admin panel. If the lights show red or orange, your Inwi router may still be connecting to the network.
If admin/admin doesn't work on your Inwi router, someone may have changed the default password. Try common alternatives like 'password', '1234', or check if there's a custom password printed on your router's label. Some Inwi internet packages come with routers that have unique default passwords.
Inwi technicians sometimes change the default credentials during installation for security reasons. Contact Inwi customer service at 555 if you can't remember the password or if you inherited the router from a previous tenant. They can guide you through verification steps to regain access without doing a factory reset.
After factory resetting your Inwi router, you'll need to reconfigure your internet connection settings if you're not using Inwi internet service. Go to the 'Network' or 'Internet' section and enter your ISP's settings. For Inwi internet users, the router should automatically detect and configure the connection.
Set up your WiFi network name and password in the 'Wireless' section after reset. Choose WPA2 or WPA3 security and create a strong password. Update the router firmware if prompted, as Inwi regularly releases updates for their devices.
How to Factory Reset a Inwi Router
Reset your Inwi router when you've forgotten the admin password, can't connect to the internet despite having service, or when selling or giving away the device. Don't reset if you only have minor WiFi issues, as you can usually fix these through the admin panel settings.
Locate the small reset button on your Inwi router, usually found on the back or bottom near the power port. With the router powered on, press and hold the reset button using a paperclip or thin object for 10-15 seconds. The lights will flash during the reset process, which takes about 2-3 minutes to complete.
Inwi LTE routers like the B310 and B315 may take longer to reset because they need to reconnect to the mobile network. Wait until all lights return to their normal solid colors before attempting to access the admin panel. Some Inwi models will automatically restart twice during the reset process.
After reset, your Inwi router returns to factory settings with admin/admin as the login credentials. The WiFi network name and password also reset to the defaults printed on the router label.
Log into your Inwi router using admin/admin at 192.168.1.1 and immediately change the default password for security. Reconfigure your WiFi settings and update any custom configurations you had before the reset. If you use Inwi internet service, your connection should work automatically after reset.
