Các bước đăng nhập

Accessing your Sunrise router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.

  1. Connect to your Sunrise router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.

  2. Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.

  3. If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and type netstat -nr.

  4. Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.

  • Can't reach the login page

Make sure you're connected to the Sunrise router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.

  • Default credentials not accepted

Check the sticker on the bottom of your Sunrise router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.

  • Router stops working after changes

Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your Sunrise router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.

  • Forgot the admin password

A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.

  • Settings won't save

Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some Sunrise routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.

About Sunrise Routers

Sunrise started as Switzerland's leading telecommunications company and expanded into providing internet equipment across Europe and select international markets. The company focuses on delivering reliable networking solutions for home and small business users. Sunrise routers are known for their straightforward setup process and stable performance in residential environments.

Sunrise has built partnerships with major router manufacturers to create devices specifically configured for their network services. You'll find Sunrise-branded routers that come pre-configured with the company's preferred settings and firmware. The brand emphasizes user-friendly interfaces that don't overwhelm non-technical users with complex options.

Home users choose Sunrise routers because they come pre-configured and ready to work with Sunrise internet services. You don't need technical knowledge to get online since most settings are already optimized. The routers offer reliable Wi-Fi coverage for typical home sizes and include basic security features that protect your network without complicated setup.

Sunrise provides good customer support in multiple languages, which helps users in Switzerland and other European markets. The admin interface is translated into local languages, making it easier for non-English speakers to manage their network settings.

Accessing the Sunrise Admin Panel

Accessing your Sunrise router admin panel is straightforward once you know the correct IP address and login details. Most Sunrise routers use the standard 192.168.1.1 address with admin/admin as the default username and password combination.

Open your web browser and type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar. This works for most Sunrise router models. If that doesn't work, check the label on your router's back or bottom for the correct IP address. Some newer Sunrise models might use 192.168.0.1 instead.

You can also find your Sunrise router's IP address through your computer's network settings. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type 'ipconfig'. Look for the 'Default Gateway' address, which is your Sunrise router's IP.

Sunrise routers sometimes show a connection timeout when you first try to access 192.168.1.1. Wait 30 seconds and try again, as the router might be processing other network requests. Make sure you're connected to your Sunrise router's Wi-Fi network, not your mobile data or a neighbor's network.

Some Sunrise models redirect you to a setup wizard on first login instead of showing the standard admin interface. Complete the wizard first, then you can access advanced settings. If you see a Sunrise-branded login page that looks different from standard router interfaces, you're in the right place.

Browser caching can cause problems with Sunrise router interfaces. Clear your browser cache or try a different browser if the login page won't load properly. Firefox and Chrome work well with Sunrise admin panels.

Popular Sunrise Models

The Sunrise Internet Box is one of their most common home routers, using admin/admin for login credentials at 192.168.1.1. The Sunrise Connect Box uses the same login details but has a more modern interface with faster Wi-Fi speeds. Both models show a distinctive Sunrise logo on the login page.

Sunrise Smart WiFi routers come with slightly different default settings. You'll still use 192.168.1.1 and admin/admin, but the interface includes additional mesh network controls. The Sunrise Business Box targets small offices and uses the same login credentials but offers more advanced firewall options.

Older Sunrise ADSL modems might use different IP addresses like 192.168.0.1. Check your device label if the standard 192.168.1.1 doesn't work. These older models sometimes use 'sunrise' as both username and password instead of admin/admin.

Newer Sunrise router models include a mobile app option for basic management, but you'll still need web access for advanced settings. The app can't replace the full admin interface for tasks like port forwarding or detailed Wi-Fi configuration.

Sunrise mesh systems require you to log into the main base unit first. Satellite units don't have their own admin interfaces. You'll manage the entire mesh network through the primary router's web interface at 192.168.1.1.

Troubleshooting Sunrise Login Issues

When you can't reach your Sunrise router at 192.168.1.1, first check that your device is connected to the Sunrise network. Look for the network name printed on your router's label and make sure you're connected to that Wi-Fi network. Ethernet connections work better for admin access if Wi-Fi is unstable.

Restart your Sunrise router by unplugging it for 10 seconds, then plugging it back in. Wait 2-3 minutes for the router to fully boot up before trying 192.168.1.1 again. Some Sunrise models need extra time to initialize their web interface after restarting.

Most Sunrise routers ship with admin/admin as the default login. Try typing 'admin' in both the username and password fields, making sure caps lock is off. Some Sunrise models are case-sensitive, so use lowercase letters only.

If someone changed the password previously, look for a password sticker on your Sunrise router. Newer models sometimes have unique passwords printed on the device label. Try combinations like 'sunrise/admin' or check if there's a WPS PIN that might work as a password.

After factory resetting your Sunrise router, wait 5 minutes before trying to log in. The router needs time to restore default settings and start its web interface. Use 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin to access the reset router.

Sunrise routers usually return to their original firmware after reset, which means any custom configurations are lost. You'll need to reconfigure your internet connection settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and any port forwarding rules you had set up.

How to Factory Reset a Sunrise Router

Factory reset your Sunrise router when you can't remember the admin password, the device won't respond to 192.168.1.1, or you're experiencing persistent connection problems that other troubleshooting steps can't fix.

Find the small Reset button on your Sunrise router, usually located on the back panel near the power cord. With the router powered on, press and hold the Reset button using a paperclip or similar thin object. Hold the button for 10-15 seconds until you see the status lights flash or turn off.

Release the Reset button and wait 3-5 minutes for your Sunrise router to restart completely. The power light should become solid, and Wi-Fi lights should turn on. During this time, don't unplug the router or press any other buttons.

Some Sunrise models require you to hold Reset for 30 seconds instead of 10-15 seconds. If the shorter reset doesn't work, try the longer duration. The router will restart automatically once the reset process completes.

Once your Sunrise router finishes resetting, connect to it using an ethernet cable for initial setup. Open your browser and go to 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin to start configuring your internet connection and Wi-Fi settings again.
