Can't reach the login page
Make sure you're connected to the Grameenphone router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.
-
Default credentials not accepted
Check the sticker on the bottom of your Grameenphone router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.
-
Router stops working after changes
Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your Grameenphone router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.
-
Forgot the admin password
A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.

Settings won't save
Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some Grameenphone routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.
About Grameenphone Routers
Grameenphone started as Bangladesh's leading mobile operator in 1997 and expanded into internet services to serve rural and urban customers. The company partnered with major router manufacturers to create affordable Wi-Fi solutions for Bangladeshi homes. Grameenphone routers became popular because they offered reliable internet access in areas where traditional broadband wasn't available.
Grameenphone focused on making internet accessible to everyone in Bangladesh. Their router division grew rapidly as more families wanted home Wi-Fi connections. The company designed their routers specifically for the local market, with features that work well in Bangladesh's climate and infrastructure conditions.
Grameenphone routers are popular because they come with built-in SIM card slots for mobile internet connections. You don't need a fixed broadband line to get Wi-Fi at home. Many customers choose Grameenphone because they already use the company's mobile services and want everything from one provider.
The routers work well in Bangladesh's power conditions and offer good coverage for typical home sizes. Grameenphone also provides local customer support in Bengali, which makes troubleshooting easier for most users.
Accessing the Grameenphone Admin Panel
You can access your Grameenphone router admin panel through any web browser on your phone or computer. Make sure you're connected to the Grameenphone Wi-Fi network first, then open your browser and type the router's IP address.
Most Grameenphone routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway address. Type this into your browser's address bar and press Enter. If that doesn't work, check the sticker on the back of your Grameenphone router for the correct IP address.
You can also find the IP address on your phone. Go to Wi-Fi settings, tap on your Grameenphone network name, and look for 'Gateway' or 'Router' in the connection details.
Some Grameenphone routers take 30-60 seconds to load the login page, especially older models. Don't refresh the page too quickly or you'll get an error. Wait for the page to fully load before entering your credentials.
If you see a 'connection timeout' error, your Grameenphone router might be overheating. These routers can get hot in Bangladesh's climate. Turn off the router for 10 minutes, then try again. Make sure the router has good ventilation and isn't covered by cloth or paper.
Grameenphone routers sometimes show Bengali text mixed with English on the login page. Don't worry if you see both languages. The login fields will still accept your username and password normally.
Popular Grameenphone Models
The Grameenphone GP-WR100 is one of their most common home routers. It uses admin/admin as the default username and password. The login page shows 'Grameenphone Router Management' at the top. This model supports 4G SIM cards and can handle about 20 connected devices.
Grameenphone GP-WR200 and GP-WR300 models also use admin/admin by default. These newer routers have faster processors and better Wi-Fi range. The GP-WR300 can support up to 32 devices and has stronger antennas for larger homes. All three models use the same basic web interface design.
Older Grameenphone models like GP-WR50 might use different credentials. Check the router label for 'Web GUI' information. Some units use 'admin' with a blank password field.
Newer Grameenphone routers have a green and blue interface design, while older models show a simpler white and blue layout. The login process is the same, but newer models load faster and have more menu options.
Grameenphone 5G-capable routers might show additional security prompts during login. You'll need to accept terms and conditions on your first login with these newer models.
Troubleshooting Grameenphone Login Issues
If you can't reach the Grameenphone admin page, check that your device is connected to the router's Wi-Fi network. Look for a network name starting with 'Grameenphone' or 'GP-WR' in your Wi-Fi list. Connect to this network first before trying to access 192.168.1.1.
Some Grameenphone routers have a 'Web Management' switch on the back. Make sure this switch is in the 'ON' position. Without this enabled, you won't be able to access the admin panel even if you're connected to Wi-Fi.
Grameenphone routers come with admin/admin as the default login. Type 'admin' in both the username and password fields. Don't use capital letters. If this doesn't work, try leaving the password field empty with just 'admin' as the username.
Some Grameenphone retailers change the default password before selling the router. Check if there's a sticker on your router with custom login details. Look for any paper tags or labels that came with your router purchase.
After factory resetting your Grameenphone router, wait 3-5 minutes before trying to log in. The router needs time to fully restart and load the default settings. Use admin/admin to log in, then you'll need to reconfigure your SIM card settings and Wi-Fi network name.
How to Factory Reset a Grameenphone Router
Reset your Grameenphone router when you've forgotten the admin password or if the internet connection isn't working properly. Also reset if the router isn't responding to any commands or if someone changed settings and you want to start fresh.
Find the small 'Reset' button on the back of your Grameenphone router. It's usually a black button next to the power port. Make sure the router is powered on and all lights are stable.
Press and hold the Reset button using a paperclip or pen tip for 10-15 seconds. Keep holding even after the lights start blinking. The Grameenphone router lights will turn off, then come back on in sequence. Release the button when you see the power light turn solid green.
Wait 3-5 minutes for the Grameenphone router to fully restart. Don't unplug the power during this time. The Wi-Fi light should turn solid blue when the reset is complete.
Your Grameenphone router will return to factory settings after reset. The Wi-Fi network name will change back to the default printed on the router label. Use admin/admin to log into the admin panel and set up your SIM card and Wi-Fi password again.
