Fizz Router Login

Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your Fizz router's setup page to get it done.

The default gateway address for Fizz is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.

Các bước đăng nhập

Accessing your Fizz router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.

  1. Connect to your Fizz router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.

  2. Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.

  3. If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and type netstat -nr.

  4. Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.

  5. You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.

Khắc phục sự cố Fizz Router Login

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.

  • Can't reach the login page

Make sure you're connected to the Fizz router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.

  • Default credentials not accepted

Check the sticker on the bottom of your Fizz router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.

  • Router stops working after changes

Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your Fizz router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.

  • Forgot the admin password

A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.

  • Settings won't save

Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some Fizz routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.

About Fizz Routers

Fizz started as a Canadian telecommunications company owned by Videotron, focusing on affordable mobile and internet services for young adults and budget-conscious consumers. The company launched its home internet service with custom-branded routers designed to work specifically with their fiber and cable networks across Quebec and parts of Ontario. Fizz routers are typically rebranded versions of popular manufacturers but come with custom firmware that integrates directly with Fizz's network management systems.

Fizz has carved out a unique position in the Canadian market by offering no-contract services and transparent pricing. Their router hardware reflects this philosophy with simplified interfaces and fewer advanced features compared to premium brands. The company targets tech-savvy millennials who want reliable internet without paying for enterprise-level features they won't use.

Home users choose Fizz routers because they come free with most Fizz internet plans and are pre-configured to work immediately with the service. You don't need to worry about compatibility issues or complex setup procedures since Fizz technicians handle the initial installation. The routers offer decent performance for typical home use including streaming, gaming, and video calls.

Fizz routers are popular among renters and students because there's no upfront equipment cost and the simplified interface makes basic network management easy. The brand's focus on essential features means you won't get overwhelmed by dozens of advanced settings you'll never touch.

Accessing the Fizz Admin Panel

You can access your Fizz router admin panel by connecting to your home WiFi network and opening a web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar and press Enter. The Fizz login page will appear with fields for username and password. Most Fizz routers use 'admin' for both the username and password by default.

Fizz routers almost always use 192.168.1.1 as the default gateway address. You can confirm your router's IP address by checking your computer's network settings or using the command prompt. On Windows, type 'ipconfig' and look for the 'Default Gateway' under your WiFi connection.

If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, try checking the label on your Fizz router. Some newer models might display the admin URL or IP address on a sticker attached to the back or bottom of the device. The Fizz mobile app can also show you the correct admin address if you have it installed.

Many Fizz users encounter problems when their browser has cached an old login page. Clear your browser cache and cookies before trying to access 192.168.1.1 again. You might also need to disable browser extensions that block ads or trackers, as these can interfere with the Fizz admin interface.

Some Fizz router models have a timeout feature that locks you out after several failed login attempts. Wait 10-15 minutes before trying again if you see an error message about too many attempts. Make sure you're connected to your Fizz WiFi network and not using mobile data or a VPN when trying to access the admin panel.

Firewall software on your computer can sometimes block access to router admin pages. Temporarily disable Windows Defender Firewall or your antivirus software to see if that resolves the connection issue. Remember to turn your firewall back on after you finish configuring your Fizz router.

Popular Fizz Models

The Fizz Helix Gateway is one of the most common models, featuring a white rectangular design with blue LED indicators. You'll find the default login credentials printed on a label: typically 'admin' for both username and password. The Helix Gateway combines modem and router functions, so you only need one device for your entire home network.

Older Fizz customers might have the Fizz AC1200 router, which looks like a black box with two external antennas. The default credentials for AC1200 models are usually 'admin' and 'admin', but some units use 'admin' and 'password' instead. Check the sticker on the bottom of your AC1200 for the exact combination.

The newest Fizz WiFi 6 routers come with updated security that generates unique default passwords. Look for a label showing something like 'admin' as username and a random 8-character password. These newer models also support the Fizz mobile app for easier setup and management without using the web interface.

Fizz Helix Gateways have a simplified web interface with fewer menu options compared to standalone router models. You'll see basic sections for WiFi settings, parental controls, and device management. The AC1200 models offer more advanced features like port forwarding and VPN settings but with a more cluttered interface.

Newer Fizz WiFi 6 models automatically guide you through initial setup when you first access the admin panel. Older models like the AC1200 drop you directly into the main dashboard without any setup wizard.

Troubleshooting Fizz Login Issues

When you can't reach the Fizz admin page at 192.168.1.1, first check that your computer is connected to your Fizz WiFi network. Look at your WiFi icon and make sure you're connected to your home network, not a neighbor's or a mobile hotspot. Try accessing the admin page from a different device like your phone or tablet to see if the problem is device-specific.

Restart your Fizz router by unplugging the power cord for 30 seconds, then plugging it back in. Wait for all the LED lights to stop flashing before trying to access 192.168.1.1 again. Some Fizz models take up to 3 minutes to fully boot up and become accessible through the web interface.

If 'admin' and 'admin' don't work for your Fizz router login, check the label on your device for the correct default credentials. Fizz has used different combinations over the years including 'admin/password' and unique generated passwords on newer models. Make sure you're typing the password exactly as shown, paying attention to uppercase and lowercase letters.

Some Fizz routers ship with the WiFi network password pre-printed as the admin password. Look for a long string of letters and numbers on your router label under 'WiFi Password' or 'Network Key' and try using that as your admin login password with username 'admin'.
