The default gateway address for ZBT is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.

  1. Connect to your ZBT router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.

  2. Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.

  3. If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and type netstat -nr.

  4. Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.

  5. You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.

  • Can't reach the login page

    Make sure you're connected to the ZBT router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.

  • Default credentials not accepted

    Check the sticker on the bottom of your ZBT router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.

  • Router stops working after changes

    Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your ZBT router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.

  • Forgot the admin password

    A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.

  • Settings won't save

    Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some ZBT routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.

Accessing the ZBT Admin Panel

ZBT routers sometimes take 30-60 seconds to fully boot up after you plug them in. If you can't reach the login page right away, wait a few minutes and try again. The power LED should be solid green or blue when the router is ready.

Troubleshooting ZBT Login Issues

Check that your computer or phone is connected to the ZBT router's WiFi network, not your old router or mobile data. The default ZBT WiFi network name usually starts with 'ZBT' followed by numbers from the device's MAC address. If you don't see a ZBT network, the router might not be powered on properly or could be in the wrong mode.

Some ZBT routers have a WiFi on/off switch on the side or back of the device. Make sure this switch is in the 'on' position. If you're using an ethernet cable, check that the cable is plugged into a LAN port, not the WAN port. ZBT routers typically have different colored ports to distinguish between LAN and WAN connections.

ZBT routers come with admin/admin as the default username and password combination. Type 'admin' in both the username and password fields, making sure to use lowercase letters. Don't add any spaces before or after the text. Some browsers auto-fill login forms with saved passwords, so clear the fields and type admin manually.

How to Factory Reset a ZBT Router

Reset your ZBT router when you can't log in with any password, the device isn't connecting to the internet properly, or the WiFi performance has become very slow. Factory reset also helps if you've made configuration changes that caused connectivity problems and you can't remember what you changed.

Locate the small reset button on your ZBT router, usually on the back or bottom of the device. The button is recessed to prevent accidental resets. Connect to the new default ZBT WiFi network, which won't have a password initially. Open your browser and go to 192.168.1.1 to access the admin panel using admin/admin. Set up your WiFi password, internet connection settings, and any other preferences you had before the reset.
