Cosmote Router Login

Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your Cosmote router's setup page to get it done.

The default gateway address for Cosmote is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.

Passos para login

Accessing your Cosmote router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.

  1. Connect to your Cosmote router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.

  2. Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.

  3. If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and type netstat -nr.

  4. Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.

  5. You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.

Solução de problemas Cosmote Router Login

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.

  • Can't reach the login page

Make sure you're connected to the Cosmote router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.

  • Default credentials not accepted

Check the sticker on the bottom of your Cosmote router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.

  • Router stops working after changes

Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your Cosmote router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.

  • Forgot the admin password

A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.

  • Settings won't save

Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some Cosmote routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.

About Cosmote Routers

Cosmote is Greece's leading telecommunications provider, owned by Deutsche Telekom. The company started as a mobile network operator in 1998 and expanded into fixed broadband services. Cosmote provides internet services throughout Greece and supplies branded routers to millions of Greek households. The company partners with major router manufacturers to create devices specifically configured for the Greek market.

Cosmote routers come pre-configured with Greek language support and local ISP settings. You'll find Cosmote branding on the device and custom firmware that integrates with Cosmote's network management systems. These routers are designed to work seamlessly with Cosmote's fiber and ADSL services across Greece.

Greek customers choose Cosmote routers because they come included with internet service packages. You don't need to configure complex settings since Cosmote pre-programs everything for their network. The routers support Greek language interfaces, making setup easier for local users.

Cosmote provides direct technical support for their router hardware. You can call Cosmote customer service for help instead of dealing with generic router manufacturers. The devices also receive automatic firmware updates through Cosmote's network.

Accessing the Cosmote Admin Panel

Access your Cosmote router admin panel by typing 192.168.1.1 into your web browser address bar. You'll see the Cosmote login page with blue and white branding. Enter 'admin' for both username and password unless you've changed these credentials.

Most Cosmote routers use 192.168.1.1 as the default IP address. Check the label on your router's back or bottom for the exact address. You'll see 'IP:' followed by numbers on Cosmote device stickers.

If 192.168.1.1 doesn't work, try opening Command Prompt on Windows and typing 'ipconfig'. Look for 'Default Gateway' under your network adapter. That number is your Cosmote router's IP address.

Cosmote routers sometimes show Greek text even when set to English. Click the flag icon in the top corner to change languages. The interface may take 10-15 seconds to switch between Greek and English modes.

Some Cosmote models redirect you to a different IP address after login. You might see the URL change to something like 192.168.1.254. Don't worry - that's normal for certain Cosmote firmware versions. Bookmark the new address for faster access next time.

Cosmote routers connected to fiber services may require you to wait 2-3 minutes after powering on before the admin panel loads. The device needs time to establish the fiber connection before allowing configuration access.

Popular Cosmote Models

The Cosmote ZTE H288A is common in Greek households and uses admin/admin as default login credentials. You'll recognize it by the white plastic case with blue LED indicators. The Speedport Entry 2i, branded for Cosmote, also uses the same admin/admin combination and features a compact black design.

Cosmote's Technicolor TG788vn router serves many fiber customers and keeps the standard admin/admin login. Look for the distinctive tall white case with ventilation slots on top. The newer Cosmote ZXV10 models maintain the same login pattern but offer updated Wi-Fi 6 capabilities.

Some older Cosmote Pirelli routers use slightly different credentials. Check the router label for 'Username' and 'Password' fields, as these devices sometimes have unique combinations printed on the sticker.

Newer Cosmote fiber routers show additional configuration tabs for GPON settings that older ADSL models don't have. You'll see 'Optical Network' or similar options in the advanced menu on fiber devices.

Cosmote routers from different years have varying interface layouts. Older models show a simpler menu structure, while recent ones include mobile app integration options and enhanced security features. The basic login process remains the same across all Cosmote model lines.

Troubleshooting Cosmote Login Issues

If you can't reach 192.168.1.1, check that your computer connects to the Cosmote router's Wi-Fi network or ethernet port. Look for a network name starting with 'Cosmote' or 'WIND' (after the merger). Your device must be on the same network to access the admin panel.

Disable VPN software if you're using it, as VPNs can block access to local router addresses. Also turn off proxy settings in your browser. Try a different browser if the Cosmote login page won't load - sometimes Chrome works better than Firefox with Cosmote interfaces, or vice versa.

Cosmote routers ship with admin/admin as the default login. If that doesn't work, look for a sticker on your router with custom credentials. Some Cosmote models have unique passwords printed on labels, especially newer fiber devices.

If you changed the password and forgot it, you'll need to factory reset the Cosmote router. The device won't have a password recovery option - Cosmote designs their firmware to require resets for security. Contact Cosmote support at 13888 if you're unsure about resetting your specific model.

After factory resetting your Cosmote router, wait for all LED lights to turn solid green or blue before trying to log in. The reset process takes 2-3 minutes to complete fully. Once finished, you can access 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin credentials.

You'll need to reconfigure your Wi-Fi network name and password after reset. Cosmote routers return to default settings, so any custom configurations will be lost. Write down your internet settings before resetting, or contact Cosmote support for help restoring your connection.

How to Factory Reset a Cosmote Router

Reset your Cosmote router when you can't remember the admin password or if the device stops responding to configuration changes. You should also reset if someone else configured the router and you need to start fresh with default settings.

Locate the small reset button on your Cosmote router - it's usually on the back panel near the power port. Keep the router powered on during the reset process. Press and hold the reset button with a paperclip or pen tip for 10-15 seconds.

Watch the LED lights during reset. They'll turn off, then flash in sequence as the Cosmote router restarts. Don't release the reset button until you see lights start blinking. The entire process takes about 2-3 minutes from start to finish.

Some newer Cosmote models require a 30-second reset hold instead of 10-15 seconds. If the shorter reset doesn't work, try holding the button longer while keeping the power connected.

Your Cosmote router returns to factory defaults after reset, including the admin/admin login credentials. You'll need to set up your Wi-Fi network again and enter any custom settings. The device automatically reconnects to Cosmote's network, but you may need to configure personal preferences.
