Proximus routers sometimes use different IP addresses depending on your internet plan type. Fiber customers might see 192.168.1.1 while VDSL users could have 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.0.1. Check your Proximus welcome email or contract documents for the correct address.

Some Proximus models redirect you to a Proximus-branded login page instead of the standard router interface. Don't worry if the page looks different from other routers. Look for Proximus branding and the familiar blue and white color scheme.

Browser cache problems can prevent Proximus router pages from loading correctly. Clear your browser cache and cookies, then try accessing the admin panel again. You can also try using a different browser or opening an incognito window to avoid cached page conflicts.

Popular Proximus Models

The Proximus Internet Box+ is one of the most common models in Belgian homes. This router uses admin/admin as the default login credentials and provides WiFi 6 support. You'll find the Internet Box+ with fiber and VDSL plans across Belgium.

Some Proximus router models require you to accept terms and conditions before accessing advanced settings. You might see a Proximus agreement page after logging in. Click "Accept" to continue to the main admin panel.

Troubleshooting Proximus Login Issues

Check that your device connects to the Proximus WiFi network or plug directly into the router with an ethernet cable. You can't access the Proximus admin panel from outside networks or mobile data connections. Make sure you see your Proximus network name in your WiFi settings.

Proximus routers sometimes take 2-3 minutes to fully start up after power outages. Wait a few minutes after plugging in your router before trying to access the admin panel. You should see steady blue or green lights on your Proximus device when it's ready.

Most Proximus routers use admin/admin as the default username and password combination. Type "admin" in both fields exactly as shown, using lowercase letters. Don't add spaces before or after the text.

If admin/admin doesn't work, check the router label for a custom password. Some Proximus models have unique default passwords printed on stickers. Look for "Admin Password", "Web Password", or "GUI Password" on your device labels.

After factory resetting your Proximus router, wait for all lights to stabilize before attempting to log in. The device needs time to restore default settings and restart its web interface. You should be able to access 192.168.1.1 with admin/admin once the router finishes rebooting.

You'll need to reconfigure your Proximus internet connection settings after a factory reset. Contact Proximus support for your specific connection parameters if you don't have them written down. They can provide the correct settings for your internet plan type.

How to Factory Reset a Proximus Router

Factory reset your Proximus router when you can't remember the admin password, experience persistent connection problems, or need to clear custom settings. Resetting removes all your personal configurations and returns the device to original Proximus settings.

Locate the small Reset button on your Proximus router, usually found on the back panel near the power cord. You'll need a paperclip or similar thin object to press the recessed button. Make sure your Proximus router has power and shows normal status lights before starting.

Press and hold the Reset button for 10-15 seconds while your Proximus router remains powered on. You should see the lights change pattern or flash during the reset process. Keep holding the button until the lights turn off completely, then release it.

Your Proximus router will restart automatically after the reset. Wait 3-5 minutes for the device to complete its startup sequence. The status lights should return to their normal pattern when the reset process finishes successfully.

You can now access your Proximus router using 192.168.1.1 with the default admin/admin login credentials. All your previous settings are erased, so you'll need to set up WiFi passwords, port forwarding rules, and other custom configurations again.
