MoFi Router Login

Need to change your WiFi password or update your network settings? Log into your MoFi router's setup page to get it done.

The default gateway address for MoFi is 192.168.1.1. Type this into your browser's address bar (not the search bar) while connected to the router's network.

Étapes de connexion

Accessing your MoFi router admin through http://192.168.1.1 will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.

  1. Connect to your MoFi router. Make sure the router is on. Plug in an ethernet cable or connect to the router's WiFi. Ethernet works best for admin access.

  2. Open any web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar (not the search bar) and press Enter.

  3. If the default IP doesn't work, find the real one. On Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Look for "Default Gateway". On Mac, open Terminal and type netstat -nr.

  4. Use the default credentials listed above. The most common combo is admin / admin. Check the label on the bottom of your router if those don't work.

  5. You're in. Change your WiFi name and password, set up port forwarding, update firmware, or adjust security settings.

Dépannage MoFi Router Login

If you have forgotten your username and password, you can follow the instructions to recover them. If you haven't changed the default username and password that came with the router, you can consult our default router usernames and passwords list.

  • Can't reach the login page

Make sure you're connected to the MoFi router via WiFi or ethernet, not mobile data. Type http://192.168.1.1 in the address bar. If it still won't load, unplug the router for 30 seconds and try again.

  • Default credentials not accepted

Check the sticker on the bottom of your MoFi router. The actual username and password are printed there. If those don't work either, someone changed them. You'll need to factory reset.

  • Router stops working after changes

Reset to factory defaults: hold the reset button on the back of your MoFi router for 10-30 seconds. Wait 2-3 minutes for it to reboot, then log in again.

  • Forgot the admin password

A factory reset is the only way back in. This wipes all settings, including your WiFi name and password. You'll need to set everything up again after the reset.

  • Settings won't save

Use an ethernet cable instead of WiFi when making changes. Some MoFi routers drop the connection during saves, which causes errors.

About MoFi Routers

MoFi Network started as a specialized manufacturer focused on cellular and wireless networking solutions. The company built its reputation by creating routers that bridge traditional internet connections with cellular networks, making them popular for backup internet and remote locations. MoFi carved out a niche market by offering dual-WAN capabilities that let users combine multiple internet sources for better reliability.

MoFi routers gained popularity in rural areas and among RV travelers who needed reliable internet connections. The company's focus on cellular integration set them apart from mainstream router brands. Their devices often include built-in cellular modems and external antenna connections that traditional routers don't offer.

Home users choose MoFi routers because they solve specific connectivity challenges that other brands can't handle. If you live in an area with unreliable broadband or need internet backup during outages, MoFi's cellular integration becomes invaluable. Their routers can automatically switch between your cable internet and cellular data when problems occur.

MoFi devices appeal to users who want professional-grade features without enterprise complexity. You get advanced networking capabilities like load balancing and failover protection, but the interface remains accessible for home users. Many customers appreciate that MoFi routers work well in challenging environments where standard routers fail.

Accessing the MoFi Admin Panel

Access your MoFi router admin panel by connecting to your network and opening a web browser. Type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press Enter. MoFi uses a straightforward login system that doesn't require special software or mobile apps. You'll see the MoFi login page with fields for username and password.

Most MoFi routers use 192.168.1.1 as their default IP address, but some models might use different addresses depending on their configuration. Check the label on your MoFi router's back or bottom panel for the exact IP address. The label also shows the default username and password printed clearly.

If the label is worn or missing, you can find your MoFi router's IP through your computer. Open Command Prompt and type 'ipconfig' to see your default gateway address. That gateway address is your MoFi router's IP.

MoFi routers sometimes don't respond at 192.168.1.1 if they're configured for bridge mode or have custom settings. Bridge mode disables the router's DHCP server, which means you'll need to access it through your main router's interface instead. Check if your MoFi device is set to bridge mode by looking at the LED indicators.

Some MoFi models experience timeout issues when multiple devices try to access the admin panel simultaneously. If the login page won't load, disconnect other devices from the network and try again. MoFi's web interface can be slower than mainstream routers, especially when loading statistics pages with cellular signal information.

Firewall software on your computer might block access to the MoFi admin interface. Windows Defender and antivirus programs sometimes flag router admin pages as security risks. Temporarily disable your firewall and try accessing 192.168.1.1 again. Remember to re-enable your firewall after logging in successfully.

Popular MoFi Models

The MoFi4500 series represents their most popular home router line, using admin/admin as default credentials. These models include built-in cellular modems and external antenna connections for improved signal reception. The MoFi4500-4GXeLTE supports multiple cellular carriers and automatically switches between connections when needed.

MoFi5500 routers offer upgraded performance with faster processors and more memory for handling multiple connections. They keep the same admin/admin default login but include additional security features that might require password changes during initial setup. The 5500 series works better with streaming and gaming because of improved quality-of-service controls.

MoFi's MOFI1000 series targets budget-conscious users who need basic cellular backup without advanced features. These entry-level models use simplified interfaces compared to the 4500 and 5500 series. Default credentials remain admin/admin, but the configuration options are streamlined to reduce complexity.

Older MoFi models like the 3500 series might use different default IP addresses or require firmware updates to access modern web interfaces. Some early models used 10.0.0.1 instead of 192.168.1.1 for their admin panels. Always check your specific model's documentation since MoFi changed standards between product generations.

MoFi's industrial and outdoor models often ship with different default settings to prevent unauthorized access in commercial deployments. These specialized routers might require console cable access for initial configuration. Home users rarely encounter these models, but they exist in MoFi's product catalog.

Troubleshooting MoFi Login Issues

When you can't reach your MoFi router at 192.168.1.1, first check that your computer receives an IP address from the router. Open your network settings and verify you're getting an address in the 192.168.1.x range. If you see a 169.254.x.x address, your computer isn't communicating with the MoFi router properly.

MoFi routers sometimes enter recovery mode if their firmware becomes corrupted during updates. Recovery mode changes the default IP address and requires special procedures to restore normal operation. Look for unusual LED blinking patterns that indicate recovery mode. You'll need to follow MoFi's recovery procedures using TFTP software to restore the router's firmware.

MoFi routers ship with admin/admin as the default username and password, but previous owners might have changed these credentials. The password field is case-sensitive, so make sure you're typing lowercase 'admin' exactly. Some MoFi models require you to change the default password during initial setup, creating this confusion for new users.

If someone changed the MoFi router's password and you don't know it, you'll need to perform a factory reset to restore admin/admin credentials. MoFi doesn't provide password recovery options through their web interface. The reset button is your only option when locked out of the admin panel.

After factory resetting your MoFi router, wait two minutes before trying to access the admin interface. The router needs time to initialize its default settings and start the web server. Connect directly with an ethernet cable rather than Wi-Fi for the most reliable access to 192.168.1.1 during initial setup.

How to Factory Reset a MoFi Router

Reset your MoFi router when you're locked out of the admin interface or when the device stops responding to configuration changes. Factory reset also fixes problems caused by corrupted settings or failed firmware updates that leave the router in an unstable state.

Locate the small reset button on your MoFi router's back panel near the power connector. The button is recessed to prevent accidental presses, so you'll need a paperclip or similar tool. Make sure your MoFi router is powered on and running normally before starting the reset process.

Press and hold the reset button for exactly 10 seconds while the router remains powered on. You'll see the LED lights change patterns during the reset process. Keep holding the button until the lights turn off completely, then release it. Don't power off the router during the reset process or you might damage the firmware.

Allow your MoFi router to reboot completely after releasing the reset button. The full restart process takes about two minutes. All LED indicators should return to their normal patterns when the reset finishes successfully. The router will broadcast its default Wi-Fi network name again if wireless was previously enabled.

Connect to your MoFi router using an ethernet cable and navigate to 192.168.1.1 to begin reconfiguration. Use admin/admin to log in and start setting up your internet connections again. You'll need to reconfigure your cellular settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and any custom network rules you had previously established.
