The Linksys Velop MX5300 is a tri-band mesh router that launched in 2020. It's designed to blanket your entire home with fast, reliable Wi-Fi coverage. This router uses three separate wireless bands to handle multiple devices without slowing down your connection.
To access your MX5300's settings, you'll need to connect to its admin panel. The default login IP address is 192.168.1.1. When the login screen appears, leave the username field blank and enter admin as the password. Some newer units might not have any default password set, so try leaving both fields empty first.
The MX5300 works great for medium to large homes where you need strong Wi-Fi in every room. It's also excellent for families with lots of connected devices like phones, tablets, laptops, and smart home gadgets. Gamers will appreciate the stable connection and low lag times.
You can use just one MX5300 unit or add more nodes to create a mesh network. This setup eliminates dead zones and keeps your devices connected as you move around your house.
