Accessing your router admin through fritz.box address will allow you to change the settings and configurations that your router software provides.

Fritz.box is the default admin URL for AVM Fritz!Box routers. It's a special web address that lets you access your router's settings and configuration panel from any device connected to your home network.

AVM designed this easy-to-remember address so you don't have to figure out your router's IP address. When you type fritz.box into your browser, it automatically takes you to your Fritz!Box router's login page.

How to Access Fritz.Box

Here's how to log into your Fritz!Box router:

  1. Make sure your device is connected to your Fritz!Box network (either WiFi or ethernet cable)
  2. Open any web browser on your computer, phone, or tablet
  3. Click in the address bar at the top (not the search bar)
  4. Type fritz.box and press Enter

You should see the Fritz!Box login screen where you can enter your credentials.

Default Login Credentials

Most Fritz!Box routers come with these default settings:

  • Username: (leave blank)
  • Password: (leave blank)

If you've set up a custom password before, use that instead.

Troubleshooting Fritz.Box Access

If fritz.box isn't working, try these solutions:

  • Make sure you're connected to your Fritz!Box network, not a neighbor's WiFi
  • Try typing http://fritz.box with the http:// prefix
  • Clear your browser's cache and cookies
  • Try a different web browser

If fritz.box still doesn't work, try the IP address 192.168.178.1 instead. This is the default IP address for most Fritz!Box routers and should work even if the fritz.box URL doesn't respond.
